Wooden Words

Sometimes the words we use to describe things makes me wonder…

Why does a tree suddenly become a log when it’s cut down? Then, if it is cut again, it would become wood or boards for wood working (but not board working—I think that might pertain to surfing).

Speaking of boards—A board can meet around a table made of boards, while people around the table can be bored and wooden.

I’ll leave you with one more thing to consider about trees…

A table can have leaves, just as a tree has leaves, and they both can lose their leaves.

Now I must leave while you leaf through these thoughts.
