Final Book Signing of the Year

My last event of the year will be selling and signing books at the Holiday Book Fair on December 5, 3-6 p.m. at the Mercato in Traverse City.

Since the launch of Race for Redemption in May, I have had several book talks and signings which included a return to the Beaver Island library in August. I also participated in the Cadillac Book Fest in September where 40 authors offered their books for sale including my cousin and fellow author John Wemlinger. For my final book talk this year, I joined three other local authors in October at the Charlevoix Public Library for an Author Showcase.

I enjoyed the opportunities this year to meet readers and to talk about my books with them. With the quiet of the winter months here in Northern Michigan, I am also looking forward to more writing time for new book projects and maybe a few more short stories.

That’s wonderful … Congratulations … I wish I had the courage to do the same with my own books. I just can’t picture myself standing in front of people and reading out loud. It’s funny, really, coming from a Christian who’s called to go out and share Christ with others. I can pour my heart into my writings and speak through my writing with no problem, but when it comes to public speaking, I get so shy and insecure. I’m truly happy for you and wishing you continued success …

    1. Thanks for the comment and the encouragement. Maybe smaller groups would work for you. Some libraries have book groups that discuss books. Book signings are also more one-to-one. Podcasts are another avenue. Just some thoughts on engaging with readers without having to face a large crowd. Blessings to you and keep on writing.
